Kenyan Tea Culture

Teatrition Facts:
In Kenya tea is the beverage of choice at any time of the day. Tea is even incorporated in the school schedule. Kenyan tea culture is mainly borrowed from British and Indian tea practices. The tradition of having a tea time during the day is a British practice while the style of tea consumed is an Indian practice. Kenyans drink a version of chai tea that lacks the amount of spices commonly found in Indian chai.

If you are in the mood for a creamy chai tea without all of the spices, try a recipe for a Kenyan style chai tea.
